Student Success Statement

   Student Success Statement

“Nothing in the world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent. The slogan ‘Press On’ has solved and always will solve the problems of the human race.”

-Calvin Coolidge, 30th president of the United States

This statement means that nothing can be compared with persistence, and in the world we see many people that take the easy way instead of being persistence in what they’re aiming for, however its conveying h0w nothing is more common than seeing unsuccessful men with talent and how the world is full of derelicts. No one should waste their talent when they can choose to be a successful person. An example would be during our high school years many students tend not care whatsoever, but you see that they’re very smart but they choose not to aim for better.
